Accordingly, Hanoi city on October 13 decided to give financial support of VND 1 billion to Hoa Binh province and of VND 500 million each to provinces namely Son La, Yen Bai, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
The city also supported VND 10 million to each family with deceased members and VND 5 million each to families with injured members in the above provinces.
Specifically, it allocated VND 1 billion each to two districts My Duc and Chuong My and supported the two localities’ households who lost their family members and had injured members during the floods with VND 10 million and VND 5 million each, respectively.
The same day, the Ministry of Health provided Yen Bai province with 250,000 tablets of Cloramin B, 100 lifebuoys, 100 life-jackets. It also gave 250,000 tablets of Cloramin B, 20 sets of flood-prevention devices, 400 lifebuoys and life-jackets to Hoa Binh province.
In particular, the Ministry of Health raised VND 250 million to support health departments in flood-hit localities.
Earlier, on October 12, the Red Cross Society of Ho Chi Minh City raised more than VND 560 million and called for more urgent support for the victims.
